Simulating total error while excluding results underestimates total error.

چکیده
Karon et al. (1 ) modeled the effects of glucose meter error on insulin dosing errors. They refer to an earlier model that I had pointed out was incomplete (2 ). Although Boyd and Bruns (3 ) agreed with my assessment, the current simulation is, once again, incomplete and the same as the previous simulation. We have reviewed the statistics for glucose meter performance (4 ) and noted that Lawton and coworkers (5 ) have a simple and complete model for analytical assay error:

This study evaluates the performance of the linear first-order Volterra model for simulating nonlinear rainfall-runoff process. For this end, fifteen storm events over the Navrood River basin were collected. 70% and 30% of the events were used to calibrate and test the suitability of the model. Finally, the performance of the model was compared with the artificial neural networks (multilayer pe...
متن کاملEvaluation of the total analytical error in the flame photometry method
Background and Objectives: For total analytical error, imprecision (SD) and bias, performance goals for laboratory tests have most often been developed. A total analytical error goal requires that the combination of errors from all sources (random and systematic errors) be within some acceptable limit. M...
متن کاملModeling Critical Flow through Choke for a Gas-condensate Reservoir Based on Drill Stem Test Data
Gas-condensate reservoirs contain hydrocarbon fluids with characteristics between oil and gas reservoirs and a high gas-liquid ratio. Due to the large gas-liquid ratio, wellhead choke calculations using the empirical equations such as Gilbert may contain considerable error. In this study, using drill stem test (DST) data of a gas-condensate reservoir, coefficients of Gilbert equation was modifi...
متن کاملPotential Assessment of ANNs and Adaptative Neuro Fuzzy Inference systems (ANFIS) for Simulating Soil Temperature at diffrent Soil Profile Depths
Objective: Soil temperature serves as a key variable in hydrological investigations to determine soil moisture content as well as hydrological balance in watersheds. The ingoing research aims to shed lights on potential of artificial neural networks (ANNs) and Neuro-Fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to simulate soil temperature at 5-100 cm depths. To satisfy this end, climatic and...

Over the years, since the beginning of the national and infrastructural project of Development and Renovation of Paddy Fields of Iranian Northern provinces, it has been essential to evaluate water distribution and delivery Performance of the project to get its feedback in the pursuit of the desired goals. However, the results of the evaluation of a system can reliable when they are based on qua...
